Beautiful Barn Wedding @ Ballyvolane House, County Cork - August

We had the pleasure of flowering up one of our favourite local wedding venues in East Cork, Ireland. We wish all our weddings could be here!

Ballyvolane House, home of Bertha’s Revenge Gin Distillery (gin is distilled from cows milk whey!), is one of Corks loveliest wedding venues offering a unique and fully catered experience to wedding guests. The grounds are beautifully kept and the house exudes a bohemian old world feel that is hard to replicate, not to mention the staff are all super friendly and welcoming.

Ballyvolane House has a lovely barn on site for wedding ceremonies as well as a cozy forested area if the weather allows. Guests can stay in the house itself or in one of the glamping options on site.

There’s also a bespoke dining room and bar connected to a dance floor for the band to set up and guests to dance the evening away.

With most if not all of the menu ingredients being locally sourced the food really shines from their in house kitchen.

For this wedding we dressed the barn with tasteful Garden Urns and aisle flowers to reflect the rustic and cozy atmosphere of the wedding day.

Florals were designed with sea lavender, lavender sprigs, thistle, cosmos, scabiosa, delphinium, larkspur, spray roses, olive greenery, seeded eucalyptus, linden and beech branches.

Aisle flowers were attached to the wooden chairs with rustic raffia bows in keeping with to barns vibe, these florals along with the urns were moved and reimagined for the dinner reception in the adjacent barn as table centrepieces.

Bridal florals were light and full of texture with three bridesmaids, a flower girl flower crown and buttonholes for the groom, his groomsmen and Paige boy
